Dragi Darma prijatelji, lepo pozdravljeni! Od aprila do avgusta 2015 je skupina tibetanskih menihov iz samostana Sera Jey na turneji v Evropi. Namen njihove turneje je predstaviti tibetansko samostansko kulturo in tradicijo v Evropi in hkrati zbrati tudi nekaj prepotrebnih sredstev za izgradnjo novega templja v delu samostana Ngari Khangtsen, ki ga nujno potrebujejo, ker je stari tempelj dotrajan in premajhen. V okviru turneje bodo menihi prišli tudi v Slovenijo, zaradi svoje dolgoletne povezanosti z Lamo Shenpenom Rinpočejem, predstojnikom Budistične kongregacije Dharmaling. V Sloveniji se bodo odvijali naslednji dogodki: Izdelovanje peščene mandale 22. – 24. maj & 26. in 27. maj, Slovenski etnografski muzej, Ljubljana Menihi bodo izdelovali peščeno mandalo Bude Sočutja, Čenreziga (Avalokitešvare). Ogled izdelovanja mandale bo možen vsak dan od 10. ure do 18. ure. Priporočena je donacija 7€. Obred uničenja mandale bo 27. maja popoldne. Sveti plesi (Čam) * 23. maj, 20:00, SiTi teater, Ljubljana. A group of Tibetan monks from Sera Jey monastery is touring Europe from April to August 2015. The purpose of their tour is to present the Tibetan monastic culture and tradition in Europe and at the same time to gather some funds for the construction of the new temple in the Ngari Khangtsen part of the monastery, which they urgently need, since the old temple is decrepit and too small. During their tour the monks will come also to Slovenia, due to their long connection with Lama Shenpen Rinpoche, the Abbot of the Dharmaling Buddhist Congregation. The following events will take place in Slovenia: Making of the sand mandala 22 – 24 May & 26 and 27 May, Slovene Etnographic Museum, Ljubljana The monks will be making the sand mandala of Buddha Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara). The making of mandala can be viewed every day from 10:00 to 18:00. The recommended donation is 7€. The ritual of dissolution of the mandala will be on 27 May in the afternoon. The Tibetan monastic dancing tradition known as Cham originates in the oldest Buddhist practices, in which the great Buddhist masters transferred their vision of »the deities in motion« to their disciples. Dances have different symbolism and specific costumes, they are performed at various opportunities for various purposes, e.g. for the overcoming of obstacles (violence, sickness, ignorance, hatred, etc.), to purify negative energy, for happiness … The monks will perform the black hat dance (which is dedicated to overcoming obstacles such as violence, sickness, ignorance, hatred and lack of trust), the dance of the masters of the cremation grounds (the dancers wear skeleton masks, usually performed at the end of the year as a part of the practices to purify the negative energy of the year which is ending).
